The Berthåga Cemetery offers several types of free cemetery hikes.

2019 Annual Programme:

Archaeological hike

Join us on an archaeological tour of a cemetery with a long history.

The archaeologist Dan Fagerlund shows the visible traces of ancient settlements and tombs from the Bronze Age, Iron Age and later times.

WHEN:

Tuesday 21 May, KL. 18-19.30.

We gather at the Belfry of Berthåga Cemetery before the hike.
No pre-registration.

The hike is free.

A cemetery influenced by nature

Join us for a two-hour hike and hear about the interesting history of Berthåga Cemetery.

The 54 hectare cemetery, with crematorium and two chapels, began to be built in the 1960 century.

WHEN:

Tuesday 4 June, KL. 14.00-16.00
Tuesday 13 August, KL. 17.00-19.00

The collection takes place outside the Red Cottage's preschool (Berthåga Byväg 24) before the tour. The hikes are free of charge and lasts about 2 hours.


 

The Wild Flowers Day

A friendly green robe fits into the Berhåga cemetery.

Join the botanist Sebastian Sundberg under "The Wild Flowers Day" and familiarize yourself with the rich Ängsfloran at Berthåga Cemetery – one of Sweden's largest, modern meadow plant projects.

WHEN:

Sunday 16 June, KL. 13.00-15.00.

Light at nighttime

In the autumn evening the shadows are long in the lamp light. Join in a hike where you explore all the insects living in the cemetery.

Follow with Jan-Olov Björklund and Niklas detoured on an entomological hike and learn more about the insects in the cemetery.
