The chapel was built in 1882 – 1883 and was designed by architect Carl Axel Ekholm. It replaced an older chapel, which has been in roughly the same place. The last burial took place 1973.

The chapel of Stillness is an open chapel with interiors in soft, light colors that spreads peace and quiet. It is a family chapel with a central location.

The chapel was built between the years 1961 to 1963 and was designed by architect Gösta Wikfors and can accommodate 90 people, including 5 staff.
