"Preserved in memory"

In collaboration with Uppsala City Theatre

Narrator: Robin Keller. Uppsala City Theater.
Screenplay and film: Henrik Zetterberg.
Voice-over recorded at: Yellow Music United AB.

About the walk:

This cemetery walk is about twelve people with a special connection to the history of Uppsala, who also have tombstones that stand out from the crowd. The gravestones and other memorials in the Old Cemetery are examples of how people have wanted to leave a lasting legacy and preserve the memory of their loved ones.

Instructions:

  1. The entire tour is in Swedish and you can take it on site or from home using your smart phone, tablet or computer. In each pop-up marker on the map, choose between watching a short film or listening to an audio track (the second alternative takes less data).
  2. If you take the tour on site, start at the Old Chapel and use headphones.
  3. You can use the map, GPS positioning (if you wish) and images at the respective Burial site. You can also look for the aluminum stick (so-called care stick) available at each Burial site. If the aluminum stick has two pink markings, it means that the grave site is included in the digital walk.

The on-site walk takes about 60-75 minutes.
